The Opportunity
In this role you will be a key member of a team including designers, technicians and production workers. You will receive graphics from the printer technician or designer to prepare and occasionally install. Training will be provided and this position has opportunities for advancement. The Sign Apprentice will report to the Project Manager.
The Sign Apprentice is responsible for but not limited to:
- On site job inspections
- Various Vinyl Work
- Laminating, weeding, and cutting graphics
- Basic wood work
- Manufactured signs
- Cutting substrates and assembling signs
- Prepare and deliver portable signs
- Assisting with sign installations
- Customer Service
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders
- Basic Mathematics
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Time Management
Considered an Asset
- Previous Sign Shop Experience
- Knowledge of types of vinyl, laminate, and substrate materials and their applications
- Post Secondary Education
